Dua Lipa is an English musician and singer who was born in London United Kingdom on August 22nd, 1995. Following her stint as a model her decision was to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album "Dua Lipa" in the year 2017. The album reached the top spot at No. three on the U.K. Charts. The album had eight singles released including Be the First I.D.G.A.F., and New Rules. In the United States it peaked as number 6. Lipa has been awarded the Brit Awards as a British Female solo artist and British breakout act in the year 2018. The album was rated platinum worldwide. Dua Lipa was conceived by London in the UK by Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin lilipa (father). By way of her maternal grandparents Dua Lipa, she is Bosnian. Additionally, her ancestors are from Peja, which is a Kosovo town Peja. Lipa's grandfathers were both historians. They have a brother Gjin Lipa, and a younger sister Rina. Lipa was taught to play guitar and sing with her dad Oda. Oda is the singer/guitarist who leads Kosovan's rock group Oda. In her home, Lipa's father played music of David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics The Police Stereophonics. Lipa started singing at age five. The Sylvia Young Theater School was where she first began singing as she was nine years old. Lipa has covered If I Am Not Got You as well as Beautiful by Christina Aguilera on YouTube. Lipa signed with Warner Bros. Records a contract in 2014. New Love, Lipa's debut single was released in august 2015.
